This is the second project we have worked with Ronan and Karen, one huge project(ongoing and very happy with progress) and one smaller project which has been so pleasurable. Pleasurable is not the way you would usually describe anything to do with design and building work, but thats what Karen and Ronan bring to the table, take the complications, the uncertainty and give a level of simplicity to a project whilst getting insight from you to help deliver the project in the way cant describe but can see in your head . Everybody has enough going on in their life without worrying about a lack of knowledge about renovating/building/designing that you might do once or twice in your life. I have found their collaborative approach refreshing after kissing some frogs in the past. I love the fact that you can be as hands on or off as you need to and you can rest assured the job will be done. I cannot recommend the team enough. I will follow on with a more specific review once our huge project is finished. Thanks Ronan and Karen.
Open Plan Living Seeing the potential in a property and respecting its history is a delicate design balancing act. Making the house relevant and modern whilst retaining a streetscape that seeks to blend rather than stand out was the brief for this new family home. Falling in love with the charm of an older home in a stunning location was the brief for this home renovation and modernisation. We worked with the client from design and planning, tendering process to build and handover. The owners vision and passion was brought to life using a delicate balance of architecture and flow principles.
Seeing beyond the limitations of a three-bed semi detached home in County Meath.
This home ticked all the boxes for a centralised, family neighbourhood in Dublin 8. However when it came to optimising the space for a couple, their new baby and family pets it needed a re-invigoration and spatial flow re-design to allow them to live, work and play well in their home.
Moving to Ireland from a warmer country doesn’t mean a compromise on lightness and brightness in a space. This home renovation brief was to maximise the orientation and light whilst giving a family space to work, live and play in a modest 3 bedroom home in a great location in South Co. Dublin.
To create a family home on farm land in a beautifully scenic part of Co. Kilkenny. The brief was to create a home that fitted the clients growing family needs and felt spaciously luxurious without having wasted space. The outdoor entertaining space doubles as a play and family area that can be used in all seasons. Siting the home into the landscape was also a priority for the owners and the need to respect its natural surroundings and local materials were used as a nod to the area.
