Having co-owned and led an architectural practice for over 8 years ( with a combined 50 years of commercial and architectural experience between them) Karen & Ronan saw the need for a new way of designing.

The architectural practice  formerly known as Douglas McGee Architects has now been refined offering the early design services including feasibility, design and planning services. For remaining stages including builder selection, tendering, and build project management we partner with a tried and tested list of professionals that we are happy to recommend to our clients.

We now know that the success of a project depends on how robust and solid the early concept and design stage is, which is why we want to concentrate and specialise in this. We are both highly skilled and adept at concept design and allowing the clients voice and design style to be heard. We have spoken to so many homeowners who tell us that their experiences with other designers fell short of the personalisation they needed and the expert help in designing a home grounded in fulfilling human sensory needs.

We are passionate that the design journey is yours, the client; our job is to bring your home or space to life using the best tools and architectural merit to give you a space you can cherish and enjoy. We use innovative tools including our Design Journal ‘ Coming Home’ to reach the deeper recesses of design decision making which are proven to save time, money and costly changes of mind.

We also specialise in bringing all aspects of design including sensory, environmental, technical, cost, statutory and flow together to create homes and spaces that will enrich our clients lives.
